Super League week 2 game results

SportsSuper League week 2 game results
Sunday afternoon at the Norman Broaster Stadium found home standing Adventures made to order for the strikers of Barrio Fino who hit the target six times for a 6:1 shelling. Three Barrio Fino strikers shared the scoring, two apiece, with Andres Logan tallying at the 13th and 36th minute, Jeffrey Jones at the 60th and 63rd, and Gerald Montejo at the 79th and 86th minute. Adventures’ only answer came from Edwardo Polido at the 22nd minute. Adventures also lost the services of Anthony Morgan in their next game, as he was red-carded at the 87th minute.

The other Super League Sunday afternoon encounter was much more competitive, but the visiting Texmar Boys proved poor guests at the Toledo Union Field in Punta Gorda for the home team, Estrellas F.C., who came away at the short end of a 2-nil score. Ashley Torres was again the goleador for Texmar, accounting for both their goals at the 39th and 58th minute of play.

In Saturday night action in Belmopan, player/coach Norman “Tilliman” Nunez suited up to guide his young Forever Strong Kraal Road teammates to a comfortable 4-1 victory over home standing Belmopan Bandits. Raymond Gentle’s 40th minute goal gave Forever Strong the 1-nil half-time lead. Tilliman extended the lead with his goal at the 73rd minute; and Lorenzo Diaz and Raymond Gentle each scored within seconds of each other at the 80th minute for the 4-nil lead. Colin Moody got Bandits’ consolation goal via penalty at the 87th minute, following the red card ejection of Forever Strong’s veteran goalkeeper Stanley “Jordan” Reneau at the 86th minute.

Also on Saturday night, last year’s City 1st Division amateur champions Roots F.C. continued to hold their own in the Super League semipro competition with a 1:1 tie at the MCC with the visiting Marathon Champs, Benque D.C. United. Benque took the lead on a Gomer Enriquez 44th minute goal, but veteran star Maurice “Magic” Francis proved he still has some tricks with his 82nd minute equalizer.

Masters Division: The only Masters (over 35) game played over the weekend was on Sunday at the Ambergris Stadium where the home team San Pedro gained a 4-2 victory over Belmopan. Palmero (2) and Elito Arceo (2) were the San Pedro goal scorers, while Jesse Tate accounted for both Belmopan goals.

Amateur Division: One game was also played on Sunday, October 28, in the Amateur 1st Division, and it was Kelly Street getting a tough 1-nil win over Atlantic Insurance. Lennox White got the lone goal of the match for Kelly Street at the 39th minute.
