TEAKETTLE, Cayo District, Thurs. Oct. 29, 2020– One man is dead and another hospitalized following a traffic accident on Monday night. Sometime around 10:30 p.m. that night, Joshua Lee Tun, 22, of Teakettle Village, and Byron Barcenas of Ontario Village, were traveling on a green Meilun 125-5 motorcycle on the George Price Highway from Belmopan City to San Ignacio.
It is believed that when they approached the “S” curve in Teakettle Village, Tun lost control of the motorbike, which collided with a traffic sign.
Both men were flung from the motorcycle, which resulted in both of them suffering severe head and body injuries. The men were transported to the Western Regional Hospital, but Tun succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
