Belize City, Tues. Sept. 28, 2021– Today, Tuesday, September 27, a teenage father of one passed away at the hospital after being in a critical condition due to gunshot wounds he received while sitting in front of his home. It has been reported that 19-year-old Paul Bood was shot approximately an hour after the senseless shooting of Dwayne Gabourel, 15, who had gone to purchase bread at a grocery store on Saturday evening.

Bood had been sitting on the porch of his home on Jimmy Dyer Street with an associate of his, Alex Faber, when a gunman emerged and fired bullets in their direction. Both men were wounded, but Bood’s injuries were more severe and led to his death days later.

The two men had been transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where Bood passed away at about 11 o’clock today while being treated — leaving a one-year-old child fatherless.

While there has not yet been an arrest in connection with Bood’s murder, police found expended shells and collected blood swabs at the scene of the shooting. It is believed that the shooting incident occurred as a result of a disagreement between the victims and a resident of the nearby area. The police continue to investigate the incident.
