CrimeTigris Street resident charged with attempted murder and related charges

Over the long holiday weekend, police investigators managed to make an arrest for a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday, March 23, that sent one man to the Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital Emergency Room suffering from gunshot wounds to both hands.

No plea was required from Lincoln Emmanuel Robinson, 21, a laborer of 81 Tigris Street, when he was arraigned for the attempted murder of Anthony Charles Young, 21. His case is to be heard upon indictment in the Supreme Court if a preliminary inquiry makes out a prima facie case against him at the Magistrate’s Court level.

In addition, Robinson was charged with “use of deadly means of harm with a deadly instrument, to wit, a firearm,” and “dangerous harm” upon Young.

On Sunday, March 23, 2014, around 10: 20 p.m., according to a police report, the police were called to 1 Supal Street following a shooting incident.

Police reported that when they arrived, they found Anthony Young, a fisherman, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to both of his wrists.

Young told police that he was socializing with some friends through an alley near an Anglican primary school, located at the corner of Armadillo and Dolphin Streets, when he heard gunshots coming from a direction behind him.

According to Young, he ran into a yard and hid behind a building, before realizing that he had been shot.

Police, after processing the crime scene, recovered five .9mm expended shell casings.
