The National Sports Council (NSC) Sports Competition for Recreation and Wellness Basketball Tournament continued on Friday night, May 6, with 3 games from Group B in Week 6 of the tournament at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City.
In the opener on Friday, Bowen & Bowen “Belikin Bruwers” crushed Central Bank, 57-21. Top scorer for “Belikin Bruwers” was Jerome Gakpe with 14 points, while Central Bank was led by Devon Wade with 6 points.
In game 2, National Sports Council “Valley” defeated K.H.M.H. “Injectors,” 74-65. High man for NSC “Valley” was Stephen Baizar with 23 pts, while Godfrey Arnold had 10 pts for KHMH “Injectors.”
And in the nightcap, BWS won a close encounter, 66-62, over Department of Youth Services (DYS). Travis Bernardez top scored for BWS with 23 pts, while Raheem Thurton led all scorers for DYS with 24 pts in a losing effort.
