HighlightsWestJet resumes flights to PGIA

LADYVILLE, Belize District, Wed. Nov. 3, 2021 — WestJet’s seasonal flights from Canada to Belize resumed today, Wednesday, November 3, when a WestJet flight landed at the Philip Goldson International Airport for the first time in months. Until April 30 of next year, the carrier will be providing a direct connection between Belize and Canada, and WestJet’s flights will be bringing visitors from Canada to Belize every Wednesday and Saturday. Passengers on those flights are expected to primarily be tourists seeking to evade the cold winter season and enjoy a relaxing getaway in Belize. Belize is also highly anticipating the resumption of Southwest Airlines flights from Houston to Belize, which is scheduled to take place as early as Sunday, November 7. Southwest flights from Denver to Belize are also scheduled to resume on Saturday, November 20, 2021.

Also, Alaska Airline will be adding an additional route to Belize; and Frontier and SunCountry will join the fleet of airlines that offer direct service to Belize. Notably, travel restrictions have been relaxed in both the US and Canada.
