Young musicians take anti-violence message on southern tour

FeaturesYoung musicians take anti-violence message on southern tour
The young, talented and versatile Belizean entertainer, Positive Vibes, burst on the Belizean music scene back in 2006 with his conscious hit tune, Livin’ A Di Devil, but Positive Vibes has continued to churn out a stream of socially motivating tunes that continue to catapult him higher and higher among the galaxy of Belizean stars.

Under the Determined to Hustle label, Positive Vibes is this week launching a tour in southern Belize starting in Independence on March 6, Dangriga on March 7, Punta Gorda on March 8, and Georgetown on March 9.

The artist says that he is teaming up with 14 other artists on the tour, including artists such as his producer, Young C, Ras Scorpion, Keegan, Orson, Berne, Energy Flava, Mister XTR, and Busy B (Byron Palacio).

The last time Positive Vibes and Young C were on such a tour, they accompanied Black Orchid (Adele Ramos) on the Red Graffiti Tour, on which she promoted the Red Graffiti album across much of the west and the south of Belize in late 2006 and early 2007.

Positive Vibes told Amandala that his message is intended to discourage crime and violence.

He says that people can look forward to a fully-loaded show, and live video shoots for videos that will later be aired on CBC’s Channel 22, as well as Channel 7 and KREM TV.

The artist says that he will be performing some of his hit songs ranging from dance hall, reggae, punta and soca, such as the still popular Living A Di Devil, as well as his recently released No Sense, Ubagari Ya and a new addition – Download Pan It.

The producer, Young C, says he feels very honored to be on the tour, and he is proud of Positive Vibes for stepping up his game and staying on it.

The youth say that their number one mission is to reach out to their peers to tell them that the crimes just have to cease.
