BELIZE CITY, BELIZE, Thurs. July 19, 2018– The XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games will take place in Barranquilla, Colombia from July 19 – August 3, 2018, where 37 nations will compete in 47 different sport disciplines.  These games are a multi-sport regional championship event held every four years.

Belize will be represented by a delegation of 3 officials and 8 athletes participating in Athletics, Beach Volleyball, Cycling and Sailing.    The delegation will be he headed by Chief of Mission, Mr. Deon Sutherland.   ATHLETICS:  Faith Morris – 100M; Mark Anderson – 100M; Roandys Hernandez Diaz – Coach.   BEACH VOLLEYBALL:  Kelsey Balderamos; Emma Hoare.   CYCLING:  Alicia Thompson – Road Race & Time Trial; Taralee Ordonez – Road Race & Time Trial; Giovanni Lovell – Road Race & Time Trial; Dion Leslie – Delegate.   SAILING:  Wilson Rivera – Laser Standard; Gerhard Cordts – Coach.
