Dear Editor,

On Tuesday, 2nd February 2010 the Amandala Newspaper referred to what had been written in The Belize Times that Sunday. The Times claimed that Miss Deanne Barrow of the law firm of Lois Young Barrow & Co. billed the Government of Belize $2 million dollars for the M/V Westerhaven court case.

The Belize Times is not worth responding to because it is bent on telling lies. It is only because of Amandala’s publication that I am writing this letter, which I respectfully ask you to please publish.

Neither Miss Deanne Barrow nor this law firm of Lois Young Barrow & Co. billed for, or received $2 million dollars for the M/V Westerhaven case. Neither did either of us receive anything remotely close to $2 million dollars, or anything remotely close to $1 million dollars, or anything remotely close to $½ million dollars, or anything remotely close to $¼ million dollars for the M/V Westerhaven case.

Yours faithfully,
LOIS YOUNG BARROW & CO.
