Week 2 games in the Belize Tourist Board (BTB) Travel Belize Beach Soccer Cup 2022 were held on Saturday, October 22, in Seine Bight Village where all 6 participating teams saw action. Two teams remain undefeated so far in the tournament – Hopkins Ibayani and Seine Bight Christ Warriors.

In the opener at 10:00 a.m., Cayo Selection prevailed, 6-4, over Griga United. The Cayo Selection got 2 goals apiece from Marlon Meza (2’ & 29’), Jermaine Jones (5’ & 15’) and Jared Jeff (13’ & 31’); while Griga United got a goal each from Curtis Valerio (13’), Daijon Daniels (26’), Raymond Ramos (33’) and Wasan Lewis (34’).

In game 2, Hopkins Ibayani bombed the BDFA City Rookies, 6-1, with goals from Wayen Ford (2’ & 17’), Felix Martinez (5’ & 19’), Norman Castillo (20’) and Kahleel Lopez (25’); while the lone goal for the City Rookies was by Elton Gordon (11’).

And in the nightcap match at 2:00 p.m., it was the home team, Seine Bight Christ Warriors grabbing the 6-2 win over Corozal FC. Scoring for Seine Bight were Terin Major (6’ & 18’), Jaheim Mena (9’, 22’ & 26’) and Jaheim Caballero (32’); while Corozal goals were by Luis Casanova (20‘) and Tracy Ramirez (35’).
