HATTIEVILLE, Belize District, Mon. Oct. 31, 2016–The body of a Belize City man was discovered in a ditch off the Hattieville/Burrell Boom junction today, Monday.

According to police reports, the body of Jeon Pebbles, 25, was found riddled with bullets at around 8 a.m. by passersby, who immediately called Ladyville police.
The scene was processed and several expended shells were recovered.

Ladyville police today told the media that Pebbles, a resident of Croton Lane in Belize City, was found with his jewelry intact and money in his pockets, and so they do not suspect robbery was the cause of the murder.

However, police are yet to determine what the motive was for killing Pebbles.

According to relatives of Pebbles, at around 7 p.m. he was picked up by Belize City police after they caught him with a joint of marijuana.

Today, ACP Edward Broaster told us that he is investigating to find out who was last in contact with the now slain man.

Our records show that in 2014, Pebbles and another man walked away from two counts of attempted murder against Ellis Meighan, Jr., and Malik Dixon, who was eventually murdered in 2015.
