PLB Week 11 scores and standings; playoff race hot

SportsPLB Week 11 scores and standings; playoff race hot

BELIZE CITY, Mon. Apr. 3, 2017–In Week 11 games played yesterday in the Premier League of Belize (PLB) Closing Season 2016-2017, it was Belmopan Bandits SC, 2-0, over Verdes FC; Police United FC, 4-1, over Wagiya FC; BDF FC, 2-1, over Freedom Fighters FC; and FC Belize, 3-2, over Placencia Assassins FC. (We will have more details in our weekend issue.)

With 3 weeks of regular season games remaining, the race to the Top-4 playoffs is hot, as only the Bandits have already secured a playoff spot. Police, BDF and Verdes are in good position, but not quite secure, because FC Belize also has a back match in hand against Wagiya. A victory against Wagiya could put FC Belize right “in the thick of things.” (See standings below.)
