A driver whose vehicle flipped over several times and ended up with its four wheels in the air last night at the Libertad Junction on the Philip Goldson Highway was lucky to escape with his life.

According to reports, after the accident, the driver got out the vehicle and walked away. When police arrived on the scene, he was already gone.

Amandala understands that the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was travelling towards Corozal from Orange Walk when he fell asleep behind the wheel.

The driver later went to police and reported the accident.
