Jamaican musician “Demarco” to perform at Memorial Park on Friday

FeaturesJamaican musician “Demarco” to perform at Memorial Park on Friday

Popular Jamaican singer and musician “Demarco” is currently in the Jewel, and will be performing at a concert this Friday at the Memorial Park in Belize City.

The dancehall/reggae artist – who has been brought in by the Belize City Council – was actually scheduled to do a feature performance for the opening of the refurbished BTL Park, which was supposed to take place tomorrow, Friday, December 20, 2013.

However, due to persisting inclement weather conditions, the opening of the park has been delayed yet again; nevertheless the City Council is carrying on in the festive mood, and will proceed with the concert as planned, albeit at a different venue — the Memorial Park in the Fort George area of Belize City.

Today, Amandala managed to have a word with “Demarco”, who is also a producer and music engineer, shortly after he and his entourage came into Belize City. “I am going to be performing at a free event tomorrow; it’s a Christmas concert that will be happening at Memorial Park, so everybody needs to come out and support and enjoy themselves while we entertain the crowd,” he said.

He stated that he plans to put on a great show, and said that his fans can expect to hear all of their favorite songs. They will have so much fun that they’ll be talking about it the day after, saying, “yeah, it was a good show,” he said.
