BELMOPAN, Wed. Oct. 25, 2017-The Belmopan Football Association (BFA) kicked off its Hon. John Saldivar U-13, U-15, U-17 Male and U-17 Female Late Tournament 2017 over the past weekend with games on Saturday and Sunday, October 21 & 22, at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium. Participating teams in the tournaments are: Bandits; Piccini Rising Stars; San Martin Medina’s; Mountain View Revolution; Salvapan FC; Las Flores Latin Boys; Spanish Lookout; Armenia Atlas; Police Cadets; YWAM Valencia; Valley Of Peace; Roaring Creek; and Bmp Compre Flames.

In game 1 on Saturday, (U-13) Police Cadets and San Martin Medina played to a 0-0 draw. Game 2 (U-13) saw YWAM Valencia with the 4-0 win over Spanish Lookout, with Tayshaun Meighan (11’ & 44’) and Allen Jones (24’ & 41’) sharing the scoring. In game 3, (U-13) it was Las Flores Wild Cats, 3-0, over Salvapan FC, with a goal each from Jabez Che (13’), Santos Artiga (25’) and Jose Carrera (30’). Game 4 (U-13) was a 2-1 win for Bandits over Armenia FC. Leroy Montero (4’ & 25’) got both goals for the Bandits, while George Morales (27’) scored for Armenia. It was the same score in game 5 (U-13), as Piccini Rising Stars clipped Roaring Creek FC, 2-1, with a goal each from Ahmad Neal (12’) and Jose Ramos (29’); while Roaring Creek’s lone goal was by Zyvaughn Ara (2’). And in game 6 (U-17 Female), it was Bmp Compre Flames with the 2-1 win over Bandits Girls. Jeili Corado (24’) and Ashley Rodriguez (29’) shook the net for the Flames, after Natalie Logan (11’) had given Bandits the early lead.

Sunday’s game 1 (U-15) was a 2-1 victory for Bandits over Armenia FC. Rhaijed Reyes (26’) and Enrique Can (31’) rocked the net for the Bandits, while Fredrick Samayoa (40’) scored for Armenia. In game 2 (U-15), Kelvin Gordon (3’) scored the only goal of the game, to give Mountain View Revolution the 1-nil win over Piccini Rising Stars. Game 3 (U-17) was a 0-0 draw between Bandits and Piccini Rising Stars. It was a 1-1 stalemate in game 4 (U-17), as Marcial Mes (19’) put Armenia FC in front, but Andy Umana (42’) equalized for Mountain View Revolution. And in game 5, (U-17) Salvapan FC shut out San Martin Medina, 3-0, with a goal apiece from Manuel Figueroa (25’), Elvis Alvaro (30’) and Johnny Guerra (50’).
