BELIZE CITY, Mon. May 10, 2021– With the recent lifting of some sporting restrictions by the Ministry of Health, Weekend Warriors (WW) cyclists from all categories – A, B and C – returned to action with their Sunday Race yesterday, May 9, doing 4 laps on the John Smith Road, starting at 7:30 a.m. Some 33 riders, including 2 females, started the race, with 20 of them sticking it out to the finish, including both females.

Finishing results were: 1st Place – Kent “Bob” Gabourel (Cycology, 1:52.27); 2nd Vallan Symns (Kulture, 1:52.38); 3rd Eric Morales (Future Innovation, 1:53.26); 4th Barney Brown (Digi, 1:55.30); 5th Kaya Cattouse (C-Ray, st); 6th Dwayne Wade (Cycology, st); 7th Santino Castillo (Santino’s, 1st “B” rider, st); 8th Leroy Cassasola (Santino’s, st); 9th Eddie Usher (M&M Engineering, st); 10th Sydney Belizaire (Future Innovation, st); 11th Kenneth Butler (FT Williams, 2nd “B” rider, st); 12th Nicole Gallego (M&M Engineering, 1:55.48); 13th Quinton “Di Baddest” Hamilton (Unattached, 1:55.56); 14th Kenroy “Smokes” Gladden (Kulture, 1:56.12); 15th Marvin Hyde (Unattached, 1:59.45); 16th Jerome Wade (M&M Engineering, 1st “C” rider, st); 17th Alvan Gillett (Kulture, 2:02.02); 18th Manuel Esquiliano (Truckers, 2nd “C” rider, st); 19th Floyd Williams (FT Williams, 3rd “C” rider, st); and 20th Antonio Escarpeta (FT Williams, 2:10.09).

The next WW Sunday Race event will be the Lemonal Circuit this coming Sunday, May 16.
