SportsPoor & Famous Culture Club does it again!

BELIZE CITY, Thurs. Aug. 8, 2024

“ Big ups” to my Little Brother!”:

The Poor and Famous Culture Club did it again. Organizer Mr. Larry Sutherland, assisted by Ms. Jordana Alvarez along with well-known Belizean artist Mr. Alex Sanker, teamed up and brought Art classes to the underprivileged youths of southside Belize City. The team also included Motivator and Mentor, Mr. Clint Jacob, along with Mr. Chris Castillo and Mr. Marlon Patnett, local activist in the community.

Yesterday, the team launched the art program at Raccoon Street Extension with well over 20 children participating. The program will be held again this Friday, and starting next week on Monday/Wednesday/Friday until the summer vacation is over.

The children had a chance to mingle and made new friends. They were fed during the program; but most of all, they had fun.

The goal is to introduce Art to the children with hopes of sparking interest to these young potential local artists such as Griffith, Cayetano or Sanker himself.

At the end of these classes, the best art students will be chosen and recognized for their outstanding art work.

Thanks to The Poor and Famous Culture Club for keeping the southside youths occupied with well-constructed activities.
