Dear Editor,
I read with great interest excerpts from the book on the Cuban revolution. The book seems to be well documented.
Some questions: Why did the Fidel Castro regime refuse to relinquish power and organize free democratic elections with at least TWO political parties competing for power every 4 or 5-year period?
Why are there not a free press and media —private media, in Cuba?
Why does the Fidel regime put in jail critics of his regime?
I love the gains registered by his regime on the health and education fronts, but what about the above concerns?
Regards,
Victor Nazaire
