BELMOPAN, Thurs. May 24, 2018– The Belize Billiards Sports Federation (BBSF) held two tournaments on Sunday, May 20, and Monday, May 21, at Mike’s Cue Club in Belmopan. The results were as follows:

National Open 9-Ball Tournament for Senior Players

Four (4) players per team saw 20 teams registered from Cayo, Stann Creek, Belmopan, Belize City, Orange Walk and Corozal. 1st Place – C-Delta 1 of Belize City received $2,500.00, trophies and medals (players were: Francisco Rodriguez, Nain Rosado, Eddy Conrado, Wilman Mejia, and manager, Marvin Cardona); 2nd Place – Belmopan Shattaz received $1,000.00, trophy and medals (players were: Oscar Avelar, Salvador Orellana, Elder Paredes, and manager, Carlos Martinez); 3rd Place – Corozal Shattaz received $500.00, trophy and medals (players were: Mark Reyes, Herbert Tzib, Luis Valdez, and manager, Rudy Moralez); 4th Place – Orange Walk Hideouts received $250.00, trophy (players were:  Kenneth Dawson, Leroy Jacobs, Rudolph Jacob and Zadiel Smith).

Under-19 Single Player Tournament (first time done)

1st Place – Immer Lima of Corozal won $300.00 plus trophy; 2nd Place – Iverson Monima of Corozal won $200.00 plus trophy; 3rd Place – Caesar of Belize City won $100.00 plus trophy.
