Dear Editor,

We join with those who are protesting the decision of the government to allow for the Israeli police to train the Belize Police Department.

Belize voted to condemn the recent killings by Israeli Armed Forces of Palestinians who were non-violently protesting. Belize needs to stand firmly on the side of justice. That involves condemning Israel for all their atrocities.

Not only training by Israeli police and military must be banned; we also need to rescind the decision that allows Israelis to freely come and go through Belize without the need of a visa.
