Performance Report on Central American Senior Championships in Honduras

SportsPerformance Report on Central American Senior Championships in Honduras

Belize was represented at the Central American Senior Championships, hosted in Tegucigalpa, Honduras from Friday, June 30, to Sunday, July 2. 17 athletes and 5 officials represented Belize. Once again, we were able to be the star country of the competition, winning an impressive six (6) Gold medals.

Samantha Dirks – 200m (24:22s); 400m (53:54s); 4×100 relay
Brandon Jones – Triple Jump (15.46m)
Katy Sealy – Heptathlon (4,054 points)
Tricia Flores, Samantha Dirks, Faith Morris, Hilary Gladden – 4x100m Relay (48.21s)
Mark Anderson, Shaun Gill, Brandon Jones, Rahim Monsanto – 4x100m Relay (41:54s)

Silver Medal
Tricia Flores – 100m (12:64s)

Bronze Medal
Brandon Jones – 200m (21:42s)

Samantha Dirks was awarded the MVP and Best Female Athlete of the competition with an amazing three (3) Gold medals.

Congrats, Team Belize! We made Belize proud and strong again in 2017.
