Prime Minister Dean Barrow departed the country today to attend the handing over of the SICA (Central American Integration System) Presidency to Belize for a 6-month period commencing July 1, 2014.
The SICA Summit will be held in the Dominican Republic, and Barrow is expected to return to Belize next Monday, June 30.
A release from the Prime Minister’s Office states that Deputy Prime Minister, Gaspar Vega, will act as Prime Minister in the interim.
