SAN IGNACIO, CAYO, Mon. Oct. 24, 2016–On Friday night, all three games were postponed due to inclement weather in San Ignacio Town. Two of these games are scheduled for this Friday on Court B, if the backboard is fixed by Friday.
On Saturday night, Western Queens avenged their loss against Lady Warriors, narrowly edging them, 46-42, in the female division. Jessica Prom had the game high with 21 pts, while Amanda Aguirre and Jenieve Reynolds netted 13 and 9 pts, respectively. Lady Warriors was led by Glenda Torres who scored 19 pts and Sheryn Nunez, who sank 10 pts. In game 2, Benque Power defeated Sergeant Peppers in the Under 23 category, 63-49. Charles Ponce was the top scorer for Benque Power with 20 pts, while Orel Neal and Anfernee Young scored 10 pts each, and Raheem Crawford netted 9 pts. Kyron “Tut” Molina had the game high with 24 pts, while Robert Jefferies scored 9 pts for Sergeant Peppers Savages. In the nightcap, Police Stars defeated Snipers, 59-44, in the Senior division keeping the home squad winless. Police Stars was led by Andre Almendarez, who had the game high with 16 pts, while Sheldon Williams chipped in with 13 pts, and Ervin Orosco sank 11 pts. Jimmy Rudon was the top scorer for Snipers with 14 pts, while David Reynolds tallied 8 pts.
Two of the three games that should have been played on Court B on Saturday night have been postponed until next Friday, November 4, on Court B. These games were postponed because one of the backboards was broken and has not been repaired as yet.
