Cycling News – C-Ray’s Full Throttle Saturday Race

SportsCycling News - C-Ray’s Full Throttle Saturday Race
The C-Ray Cycling Team held its weekly “C-Ray’s Full Throttle Saturday Race” last Saturday, February 18, with the following results:

Junior Category: 1st – Riis Cattouse (C-Ray), 2nd – Brandon Morgan (C-Ray), 3rd – Eldon Simmons (M&M’s), 4th – Delawn Abraham (Unattached).

Category 4/5: 1st – Ernest Meighan (Santino’s), 2nd – Kenroy Gladden (Horizon), 3rd – Omar Gomez (Depredadores).

Female/Youth Category: 1st – Delawn Abraham (Unattached), 2nd – Alejandro Manrique (Depredadores), 3rd – Kerah Eiley (C-Ray).

Over 50yrs: 1st – Raymond “Ray Catt” Cattouse (C-Ray), 2nd – Santino “The Chief” Castillo (Santino’s).

Elite: 1st – Darnell Barrow (Santino’s), 2nd – Gregory Lovell (Santino’s), 3rd – Christian McNish (C-Ray), 4th – Brandon Cattouse (C-Ray), 5th – Byron Pope (Benny’s Megabytes), 6th – Nissan Arana (C-Ray), 7th – Jairo Campus (Santino’s), 8th – Peter Choto (Gallen Eagles Western Spirit), 9th – Ernest Meighan (Santino’s), 10th – Kenroy “Smokes” Gladden (Horizon).

The C-Ray Cycling Team also took part in a race in Chetumal on Sunday, February 19, in which the sponsors gave Top 3 prizes for the Elite Category, and ONLY first prize for the Master, Junior and Female categories. These are the results:

Elite: 1st – Nissan Arana (C-Ray); 2nd – Brandon Cattouse (C-Ray).

Junior: 1st – Riis Cattouse (C-Ray) — (Riis actually also won the race overall, ahead of Nissan and Brandon; but, according to the rules, he could only receive the Junior prize.)

Master: 1st – Ray Cattouse (C-Ray)

Female: 1st – Kaya Cattouse (C-Ray)

(Ed. Note: We observe that, for the first time, Santino “The Chief” has participated in the C-Ray organized Saturday race. In the aftermath of the tragic incident a couple weekends ago when popular deejay Stephen Hall lost his life, and cycling technician Andrew Ordonez was badly injured, the cycling “family” came together to lend their support, financially and otherwise. One positive outcome may be the mending of fences and healing of old scars in the often contentious relationship between two veteran sportsmen who really love cycling.)
