Cycling – Upcoming Test Race Events – March 1 & 2; Belmopan Classic – March 16

In a press release on Monday of this week, the Cycling Federation of Belize (CFB) announced two upcoming events on Saturday and Sunday of this weekend. The events are part of the Test Race Events towards selecting a National Team.

ITT on Boom Road on March 1

On Saturday, March 1, an Individual Time Trial (ITT) will be held on the Boom Road, starting at CDS Service Station at 6:30 a.m. Open Elite/U3/Masters will do 15 miles; while the Female/Junior/Youth will do 9 miles.

Hill Circuit in Spanish Lookout on March 2

And on Sunday, March 2, a Hill Circuit will be held in Spanish Lookout, starting at 1:30 p.m. Open Elite/U23/Masters will do 15 laps on the 4-mile circuit; while the Female/Junior/Youth will do 10 laps.

Registration deadline for Belmopan Classic

The Cycling Federation of Belize (CFB) reminds cycling teams who wish to include foreign riders for the upcoming March 16 SMART Belmopan Cycling Classic, that Friday, February 28, is the deadline to submit the names of riders along with a copy of their 2014 Federation License.

Of course, this year, Holy Saturday falls on April 19; and that’s Cross Country time.
