Respectfully Sir Editor:

Sometimes your editorial contains claims so true such as this week on Elrington: “It is because Belize is not a real nation-state; Belize cannot go after the big boys and punish them in proportion to their crimes. Belize is a place where big people never go to jail.” Then I wonder why you, at other times, maintain that we as a people are capable of ruling ourselves. To be able to rule oneself we must demonstrate that we have the capacity, tenacity and will. We have none. Sad. Thanks for the editorial but you have to be consistent on what you say week to week.
