BELIZE CITY, Mon. Oct. 17, 2016–The CYDP Peace Cup Tournament 2017 continued over the weekend with 2 games each on Saturday and Sunday at the MCC.

In the opener on Saturday, October 15, game 1 saw Ladyville FC and Ebony Lake FC playing to a 1-1 draw. Shawn Young shook the net for Ladyville, while Travyon Martinez scored for Ebony Lake. In game 2, Coast Guard FC continued on their winning ways with a 7-1 shellacking of Survivors FC. Steven Martinez had a hat trick (3 goals), Addier Duran scored 2, and Edward “Bull” Lawrence and Adgar Adderly added 1 apiece for Coast Guard.

On Sunday, it was Tut Bay bombing Face of Belize, 12-nil, in game 1, with a record 8 goals from Brian Martinez, 2 from Carlos Lino, 1 from Denmark Lino, along with an auto goal by Face of Belize’s Salim Roches. And in game 2 it was another lopsided score, as Kelly Street FC crushed Police Strikers, 7-nil, with Kadeem Myers netting 4 goals, and Leon “Lem” Jones, Raymond “Bills” Marin and Alden Coleman scoring 1 apiece for Kelly Street.
