According to Yabra sports icon Jerome “Peeloff” Meheia, the Yabra Summer Camp 2022, which started on Saturday, August 6, for kids under the age of 13, will close this Saturday, September 3 at Yabra Green.
The Summer Camp was attended by mostly kids from the Yabra, Port and Kraal Road areas, including as many as 26 boys and 1 girl on its busiest day, but the numbers have dwindled recently due to schools reopening. The kids were supervised with some fun games on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday of each week between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
Coordinators for the Summer Camp are Jerome “Peeloff” Meheia, Steve “Gellies” Young and Rudolph “Bolo” McKoy.
