BELIZE CITY, Thurs. Jan. 3, 2019– Angel Ruben Cassasola, 35, an excavator operator of Shawville, San Ignacio, and the father of 3 children — ages 5, 7, and 9 years — was taken this morning to the San Ignacio Magistrate’s Court, where he was arraigned for the offense of murder.
No plea was taken from him and he was remanded until March 5, 2019. Cassasola is charged for the brutal stabbing death of Anita Pineda, 34, his ex-common law wife and the mother of his 3 children, in an incident which occurred at about 8:30 p.m. on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2019.
