Belize to participate in 2019 Central American U15 & U18 Table Tennis Championships

BELIZE CITY, Tues. Feb. 5, 2019– The Belize Table Tennis Association (BTTA) will be sending a delegation consisting of 10 players, 2 coaches and 1 delegate/parent to participate in the 2019 Central American U15 & U18 Table Tennis Championships to be held in Cancun, Mexico from February 6th to 9th.

The delegation will comprise of the following:

U15 Players:  MALE – Taye Parkinson, Devesh Hukmani and Jofny Paguaga; FEMALE – Sarai Paguaga and Abigail Thurton.

U18 Players:  MALE – Rohit Pagarani, Terry Su, Mihir Karnani and Amiri Hoare; FEMALE – Kelly Liu.

Coaches & Delegates:  Aya Kubota – Coach/Delegate; Ariorkis Alvarez Blez – Coach; Yolanda Paguaga – Delegate.

The delegation will participate in Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Team competition events.

The team departs today, February 5, and returns on Sunday, February 10.

Belize will also participate in the Central American General Assembly, which also takes place in Cancun.
