Mar. 27, 2019– Amado Gonzalez, 47, a Belizean living in Cancun, Mexico, whom Mexican police accuse of being the leader of a gang of robbers that was robbing people at gas stations in Chetumal, Cancun, and Bacalar, has been captured and is now in the custody of the Mexican police. The details of the arrest were not revealed.
According to the Mexican media (online newspaper reports), Mexican authorities, after investigating many armed robberies at hotels, gas stations, pharmacies, and convenience stores in Chetumal and in Cancun, had identified the Belizean as the leader of the bandits and had issued a warrant for his arrest.
