Both tournaments resume this weekend after taking a break for the Easter holidays.

BFA 2nd Division Tournament 2019

The Belmopan Football Association (BFA) 2nd Division Tournament 2019 continued on Friday, April 5, with 3 games played at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium
In game 1, BMP Compre drew, 3-3, with San Martin Medina. Compre goals were by Rafael Franklin (12’ & 16’) and Frybin Pagoada (18’); while all 3 San Martin goals were by Adrian Usher (33’, 55’ & 69’). Game 2 saw Arizona FC with the 3-1 win over Internationale Maya Mopan. Netting 1 apiece for Arizona FC were Jose Correa (9’), Eneas Luna (60’) and Oliver Lopez (82’); while Jonathan Aleman (38’) got the goal for Maya Mopan. Game 3 was a slug fest, with Olympiakos Flames prevailing, 5-4, over Real Juventud. All 5 Flames goals came from William Portillo (15’, 43’, 53’, 57’ & 90’); while Juventud got a goal each from Edil Hernandez (4’), Brandon Reyes (37’), Charles Kerr (41’) and Edward Che (65’).

Belmopan City Council Kids, Youth & Female 2019 Tournament
The Belmopan City Council Kids, Youth & Female 2019 Tournament continued with games on Saturday and Sunday, April 13 & 14, at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium.

In game 1 on Saturday, (U-10) Galacticos FC and Las Flores Wild Cats ended in a 3-3 draw.  Galacticos goals were by Anthony Guerra (36’ & 39’) and Josiah Friesen (46’); while Las Flores got a goal each from Joally Monterosa (11’), Santiago Corea (22’) and Brandon Vasquez (43’).  In game 2, (U-10) Roaring Creek FC shut out San Martin Medina, 3-0, with a goal apiece from Jamaal Licona (6’), Ian Paz (21’) and Mortdecai Gordon (40’). In game 3, (U-13) Ronaldo Tello (16’) put Mountain View Revolution in front, and Brian Garcia (44’) equalized for Armenia FC, to end in a 1-1 draw. Game 4 (U-13) was a 3-0 win for Roaring Creek over Cotton Tree Bandits, with a goal each from Jovan Martinez (6’), Tyrese Moody (37’) and Al-Dane Moro (42’). In game 5, (U-13) San Martin Medina dropped Bandits, 4-0, with goals from Albert Romero (16’), Jossin Bonilla (18’) and Max Barkman (19’ & 32’). And in game 6, (U-17 Females) Valley of Peace Girls clipped Compre Flames Girls, 1-0, on a goal by Cindy Cruz (17’).

In game 1 on Sunday, (U-15) Roaring Creek won by default (3-0) over YWAM Valencia.  Game 2 (U-15) was a 1-1 draw, as Jonathan Vanegas (5’) put Armenia FC in front, but Kevan Guerra (9’) tied it up for Piccini Rising Star. In game 3, (U-15) Anthony Montalvo (48’) scored the only goal to give Mountain View Revolution the 1-0 win over BMP Compre Juniors. In game 4, (U-15) Orson Twist (25’ & 55’) struck twice to give San Martin Medina the 2-1 victory over Cotton Tree Bandits, whose only goal was by Rony Stephen (6’). And in game 5, (U-17) Mountain View Revolution dropped Bandits, 1-0, with a goal from Robert Palma (32’).
