He was charged in connection with an incident that took place on Sunday, November 28, around 9:00 p.m. According to police, a girl, 12, told police that while she was walking near the Farmer?s Market on Central American Boulevard, she was approached by a man, later identified as Willis, whom, she alleged, she did not know. She reported to police that her attacker grabbed her neck, tied a rag around her mouth, and then took her near Save-U Supermarket, located at San Cas Plaza. Shortly afterwards, something fell from the man, and as he stopped to pick it up, the girl ran from him, in an attempt to get away. The man chased her and was able to catch her as she was running across the Belcan Bridge, towards the corner of Mahogany Street and Central American Blvd. Police reports are that Willis took the young girl behind the Mahogany Street Taxi Service stand, which was deserted, and not far from the corner. He sucked the minor?s breasts through a thin strap blouse that she wore, which he had also torn, and ?vamped? the girl, police further said. Police constable #147, Ivan Galvez, attached to the Belize City Criminal Investigation Unit, said that he was in plain clothes and riding on the Central American Boulevard when he heard the cries of the girl, who was fighting off Willis. Willis tried to flee, but Officer Galvez chased him and was able to apprehend him. The officer escorted him to the police sub-station located at the corner of Mahogany and Oleander Streets. The girl was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital to get medical treatment for bruises to the left side of her face and arms, which were inflicted by her attacker.
