Five more games were played last week in the Corozal Sports Council Interoffice 5-a-side competition, two on Thursday night and three on Friday night.
 
In game 1 at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, CCC Faculty fell by a 6-2 margin to B.W.S.L. Eliphaz Santos scored both the College Faculty’s goals; while for B.W.S.L. it was Armando Romero with a hat trick (3), Bernard Armstrong (2) and Israel Villanueva completing the scoring. In the nightcap, it was Atlantic Bank/St. Francis Xavier Credit Union securing the 2-1 victory over Belize Telemedia Ltd. David Quan and Darwin Triminus struck for the Bank/Credit Union winners, while Melhem Williams got BTL’s only goal in the loss.
 
Game 1 on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. saw Northern Regional Hospital getting the 3-2 nod over Corozal Town Council. For the Hospital it was Marcelo Urbina (2) and Uriel Briceno shaking the net, while Wilbert Vellos and Edwin Amaya scored for the Council. In game 2 at 8:00 p.m., Ministry of Works made light work of Ministry of Finance, walloping them by a 5-1 margin. For the winning Works, Eric Dunn (2), Michael McCaulay, Eddy Guy and Antonio Sanker hit the target, while Evelio Castaneda got the only tally for the losing Finance. And in the final game of the night, Corozal Hospital/Scotia Bank had the better of Police in a 7-3 slug fest. The victorious Hospital/Bank had goals from Elvis Nugent (3), Jorge Cobb (2), Geon Ara and Nadir Castellanos. The 3 Police goals came from Jason Hall, Ricky Valencia and Rodolfo Azueta.
