DANGRIGA, Mon. Nov. 6, 2017–Tex-Bel Farm and the Dangriga Town Council, along with the Dangriga Amateur Cycling Association, will be hosting the first Annual Coconut Fest Cycling Race this Saturday, November 11, starting at 1:00 p.m. This race was postponed from October 28 because of rain.
The race will start (and finish) from in front of Eldrid Martinez Park on George Price Drive, right across from Dangriga Bowen and Bowen Distributors, and head on the Southern Highway to Maya Centre and back, a total of 40 miles.
This race on Saturday is only for Juniors and Masters categories. Prizes for both Juniors and Masters remain the same, along with station prize. Registration per rider is $10.00.
This year, the T.V. Ramos Classic 2017 will be on Monday, November 20, and will also be the final event to close off the Garifuna Settlement Day celebrations in Dangriga. That is when all the Elite riders and the entire Weekend Warrior riders and Juniors will be here taking part; but for this Saturday it’s only for Juniors and Masters.
