DANGRIGA, Stann Creek District, Thurs. Aug. 1, 2019

PLB football

After that Week One Dangriga Derby last week Saturday inside the Carl Ramos Stadium between both teams playing out of Griga, Wagiya was victorious over the Freedom Fighters Valley Pride, 1 goal to nil, with a goal from Gilroy “Bredda” Thurton in the 84th minute. Both teams are set once again this weekend for Week Two games. Wagiya got 3 straight games at home, while Freedom Fighters Valley Pride will be on the road for 3 straight games.

This Sunday, August 4, inside the Carl Ramos Stadium, it will be a big rivalry match-up at 4:00 p.m. – WAGIYA vs VERDES. Wagiya was the team that eliminated Verdes from the Scotia Bank Concacaf League taking place at this moment. Also, 3 players that were playing along with Verdes last season, are now playing with the Wagiya football club; they are: Gilroy “Bredda” Thurton, Johnard Castillo and Elroy “Bib” Kuylen. Now we can see why I said this game this Sunday will be a big rivalry.

Entrance fee: Adults – $7.00; senior citizens – $5.00; high school students with I.D. – $5.00; Kids – $3.00. Wagiya vs Verdes this Sunday inside the Carl Ramos Stadium.

Valley Pride Freedom Fighters will be inside the MCC Grounds this Sunday to see action against the Belize Defence Force (BDF) FC.
