BELIZE CITY, Sat. Nov. 7, 2020– A Belize City man was severely wounded in a drive-by shooting on Thursday, November 5, and he is now fighting to stay alive.

The victim, Lynton “Tutsa” Sutherland, 45, is a resident of Majestic Alley.  At around 9:00 p.m., he and several other individuals were standing below the old Belize City Council building on North Front Street when a heavily tinted white Ford car passed by and an occupant fired multiple shots in the group’s direction.

Sutherland was shot once in the abdomen and taken for treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted in a critical condition.
