BACALAR, CHETUMAL, Mexico, Fri. Apr. 24, 2020– At about 7:00 this morning, Mexican marines of the 25th Infantry  of the 11th Naval Zone, located in Chetumal, found a suspected drug plane in a remote area of the village of Ejido Salamanca, while conducting an anti-drug operation in the area.
Today’s issue of DIARIO De Chetumal, an online Mexican newspaper, said that the search was based on intelligence that a suspected drug plane was in the area. The infantry went to the area in Bacalar, where they found the King Air-type airplane. During searches of the area, they found two motorcycles and a rifle, and further investigation led to four persons who have been arrested in connection with the landing of the plane.
Reliable information to us is that last night, Belize police were conducting drug operations in  Hill Bank, Orange Walk District, when they saw a suspected drug plane circling in the area, but it did not land, and this morning, the Mexican law enforcement reported the capture of  a suspected drug plane and the arrest of 4 persons. No drugs were found during the operation, however.
