GeneralErnesto Perez, 35, shot at corner Rivero and Fairweather Streets
An early shooting incident has left a thirty-five-year-old man in a critical condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

The victim, Ernesto Perez, was apparently shot at the corner of Rivero and Fairweather Streets, at around 9:45 this morning.

When Amandala arrivedat the scene, we saw a green car with red doors in a drain, as though it had crashed when the driver attempted to escape.

Also observed were bloodstains on the inside part of the driver’s door.

A number of expended shells lay on the road, not too far away from the car.

Police at the scene couldn’t comment on what had transpired because when they had arrived, only the car and the expended shells remained. The victim had already been transported to the hospital.

“Initial investigations revealed that Ernesto Perez, 35, was driving a taxi when he was approached by two gunmen, who fired several shots at him,” said police in a press release dated today, Monday, June 28.

The release went on to say that the victim was hit in the left side of the face and upper back.

This evening, we learned that Perez has not died, but is undergoing treatment.

Police say that they can’t comment on the case, since the matter is under investigation.
