COROZAL TOWN, Mon. Aug 3, 2020– A grenade launcher, a device used by soldiers to fire 40 mm grenades, was found discarded in a bushy lot in Dominguez Layout, near the home of a man who police said is known to them.
The launcher is a prohibited weapon, and an investigation has begun to find out if it has been issued by the military and how it may have ended up near the man’s home.
ACP Joseph Myvett said that at about 2:30 Saturday afternoon, police conducting anti-drug operations went to Dominguez Layout  and searched for illegal items in a lot, and during that search they found a white bag in the bushes. When the bag was opened, they found the grenade launcher.
