The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) today welcomed the arrival of five high ranking FIFA officials to Belize.

Arriving in Belize were Gregory Engelbrecth (Senior Manager Development Program of the Americas), Angenie Kanhai (FIFA Development Officer, Northwest Caribbean), Kevan Cipe (FIFA Performance Consultant), Rodrigo Kenton (FIFA Technical Consultant) and Marco Leal (FIFA Legal Counsel & Group Leader FIFA Player Status Department).

The delegation will be conducting interview sessions with all members of the Federation, Premier League of Belize, club officials, the media and potential sponsors of the Federation. The first of a three-phase program of the Football Management Program of FIFA commences today, November 18, and concludes on Sunday, November 25.

High on the agenda of the delegation is to assist the Federation, its Secretary General and Technical Director to better manage the affairs of the Federation. Three areas of high priority include:

a.) To review the organization’s management activities and operations of the member associations, with the aim of assessing the adequacy of management of each operational and technical area of the Federation.

b.) To make recommendations for action by the member associations and by FIFA, with the aim of enhancing the performance of the Federation, and to present these recommendations to the Federation.

c.) To identify possible areas of support from FIFA to enhance the performance of the Federation.
