Dear Editor,
The internet is an encyclopedia of easily accessible information. The benefits of these new technological devices and programs are obvious, but are cracks in our electronic media structure beginning to appear?
How much of our private lives is sold, and to whom? Are Google, Amazon, Microsoft or others eavesdropping on us? What is the new world doing to us, and where are we heading?
The Worldwide Web, social media, and electronic devices are changing how we spend our time, how we communicate, and how we relate with each other. Some might disregard these concerns as being overly reactionary, but perhaps it is time to take stock and ask ourselves:
What is (has) social media and its technologies doing (done) to me and my family, and where is it taking us?
Concerned Belizean,
