The incident happened an hour after two Brannon brothers were gunned down, also very near their home. Two brothers were killed, and another brother and cousin injured. A wife of one of the deceased escaped death by fleeing into their house. The killers? bullets followed her there, but she escaped unhurt. The brothers and the wife, too, were heading home from the concert, but the murders of the Brannon brothers and Felix are thought by police to be unrelated.
Felix, a resident of #6 Gill Street, was shot at the corner of Gill Street and Fabers Road, a block away from his home.
Police say that he was jogging on Fabers Road, going home, when a man wearing a pair of blue jeans, short pants and a white shirt approached him. The man, armed with a gun, fired a single shot, hitting Felix in his head.
Yesterday, at a police press conference held at the Queen Street Police Station, Assistant Superintendent of Police Chester Williams said that the shooting followed an altercation Felix had with someone at the concert. He added that police don?t know what the altercation was about, but they believe the murderer did not act alone.
Apart from Swan, police are looking for a second suspect and a green vehicle, believed to be the getaway car.
A post-mortem has been conducted on Felix?s body, but we have not yet been informed of its findings.
Funeral service for Felix is tentatively scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday.
