BELIZE CITY. Wed. Jan. 6, 2021– In a press release issued by the Belize Water Services on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, the utility company announced the appointment of the company’s new board of directors by Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Hon. John Briceño.

The appointment came into effect on January 4, 2021. Cornelio Acosta was appointed the chairman of the BWS board. Other appointed members include Ashton Longsworth, Crescencio Sosa, Jr., Elijio Briceño, Jose “Pepe” Garcia, Keith Mira, Ivar Medina, Carmelita Blanco and Dr. Victor Rosado.

The press release added, “The Belize Social Security Board has a seat on BWS’s Board but has not yet appointed their new representative.”

“BWS welcomes all the Directors and looks forward to their contributions as we continue our mission to improve the lives of consumers by delivering cost-effective and sustainable supply of high-quality water and waste water services to communities which we serve,” the release further said.
