GeneralPolancos robbed in Franks Eddy

Franks Eddy Village. Sun. July 18, 2021– The police are currently searching for two male persons in connection with two robberies that occurred in quick succession on Sunday, July 18. The first incident took place at about 4:55 p.m. at the R&D shop in Franks Eddy Village. When police arrived at the scene, they spoke to 20-year-old Cristina Polanco, a cashier at the shop, who recounted to them what had just taken place.

She told the police that two male persons wearing masks entered the shop. One of the men, she said, was armed with a handgun. That armed robber walked to the counter, where he stole an undisclosed amount of money and Polanco’s engagement ring that reportedly has a value of $500 BZD. According to police, after the culprits exited the shop, they robbed 53-year-old Rigoberto Polanco of his wallet, which contained his personal documents and $900 BZD.

We reached out to the Belmopan Police Station for more information, but the Officer in Charge was not there at the time.
