BELIZE CITY, Thurs. May 2, 2019– The Belize Rural North Football Tournament for the Edmond “Clear the Land” Castro Cup 2019 returned to action yesterday, Labor Day, May 1, in Lucky Strike Village with Week 2 games.

In game 1, (Senior) Burrell Boomers lashed Sports Education FC, 11-0, with 3 goals each from David Solorzano, Marlon Gutierrez and Carlos Salazar, while Hubert Baptist and Hector Sandoval added 1 each.

In game 2, (U-17) Survival Youths beat Kings College Strikers, 2-1, on goals by Keefer Perteau and Shamar Gillett, while for Kings College it was Jaheem Gillett.

Game 3, (Senior) saw Lucky Strike Titans drop Heights FC, 3-0, on 2 goals by Keenan Gillett and the other by Frederick Garbutt.

And in game 4, (Senior) Survival FC beat Corozalito Untouchables, 1-0, on a Calvin Reneau first half goal (22’).
Week 3 games will be this Sunday in Sandhill Village:

Sunday, May 5, Sandhill
10:00 a.m. – (U-17) Sandhill Youths vs Kings College Strikers
11:30 a.m. – (Seniors) Maskall United vs Sandhill New Site
1:30 p.m. – (Seniors) Corozalito Untouchables vs Lucky Strike FC
3:30 p.m. – (Seniors) Fabers Road United vs Heights FC

Entrance Fee: Adults – $3.00; Kids – FREE!
