DANGRIGA, Stann Creek District, Thurs. Nov. 8, 2018– The Stann Creek Football Association (SCFA) 1st Division Amateur September Season continued over the weekend with games on Friday and Sunday, November 2 and 4, at the Carl Ramos Stadium.
In the opener on Friday night, South Side Warriors dropped Sarawee Strikers, 3-1, with goals from Norman Sutherland (37’) and Leston Garcia (46’ & 72’), while Ramon Olmedo (62’) scored for Sarawee. And in the nightcap, it was Pomona Impacts, 3-2, over Silk Grass SG Ballers. Netting 1 apiece for Pomona were Raymond Peters (54’), Kevin Salguero (57’) and Leonarde Valdez (68’); while Silk Grass got a goal each from Zion Ramos (33’) and Asad Sho (76’).
Game 1 on Sunday saw Sarawee Strikers and Pomona Warriors playing to a 1-1 draw. Harrison Roches, Sr. (29’) put Pomona in front, but Tyrick Castillo (76’) equalized for Sarawee. Game 2 was another draw, as Pomona Strikers and Sampson Proper Fix ended up deadlocked at 4-4. Tyler Peters (3’, 31’, 48’ & 50’) blasted all 4 goals for Pomona Strikers, while Sampson Proper Fix got a goal each from Dwayne Sampson (20’), Myreque Francis (30’), Dylon Williams (59’) and Brandon Cacho (85’). And in the nightcap game, Silk Grass SG Ballers prevailed, 3-1, over Seine Bight Warriors, with a goal apiece from Zion Ramos (23’), Nigel Elijio (72’) and Kenyon Lewis (81’), while Darrel Apolonio (68’) scored for Seine Bight.
