Teenager shot in the neck in Ladyville

GeneralTeenager shot in the neck in Ladyville

LADYVILLE, Sun. Nov. 15, 2020– A teenage boy was seriously wounded when he was shot in the neck in the early hours of this morning.

The victim, Christian Ramos, 15, was admitted to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in a stable condition.

The attack occurred at around 2:00 a.m. when Ramos and Shane Bahadur, 33, were standing in front of their residence at #13 Perez Road, Ladyville. At that time, they noticed a suspicious-looking individual standing next to the side of their house.

That suspicious person would later be identified as Tyrone Fitzgibbon.

Bahadur reportedly shouted at him and requested that he leave the area, but Fitzgibbon refused and allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired in the direction of the two residents.

Ramos was hit in the neck and taken to the Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital for treatment and was released on Sunday morning.

Investigators suspect that Bahadur was the intended target, as he is known to have problems with rivals in that area.  Officer Commanding Eastern Division Crimes Investigation Branch, Superintendent Alejandro Cowo, said in an interview with the press corps, “I know the other person that was accompanying him (the minor) was a person well known to police and we suspect that he was the intended target… we know that the other person (Shane Bahadur) has had a long-standing dispute with other persons that area and we believe that it’s possible that that was the motive that was behind the shooting”.
