The issue of domestic violence

LettersThe issue of domestic violence
Dear Editor:

The issue of domestic violence concerns us greatly because it leads to injuries and, as we continue to hear, fatalities.

When fatalities occur, children are orphaned. They won’t have their mother to depend on and there is nothing like a mother’s love. They will have to adjust to a new type of living environment and be placed with family members or among total strangers. This is not a good feeling.

Our suggestion to females in this relationship is to GET OUT, seek help and refuge elsewhere. Inform others about what you are going through. We believe that the law should be amended to severely deal with men who engage in this behavior. Others can be confined to rehabilitation for anger management.

We also call on law enforcement to follow up on restraining orders.

Sincerely,
