BELIZE CITY, Wed. Apr. 7, 2021– Two officers in the Belize Coast Guard recently graduated from the Mexican Naval Academy with Bachelor’s degrees. Officer cadets Ruby Jimenez and Anthony Aguilar completed their studies and were awarded their degrees under an initiative between the governments of Belize and Mexico.

The Ministry of National Defence and Border Security said that the cooperation with the Mexican Navy allows Belizean servicemen and women to have access to information exchanges, training, and professional military education.

These two highly trained members of the Belize Coast Guard will now rejoin the ranks as officers of the maritime security agency.
